Spooktacular Apron for your Spooktacular Treats!
From Window Valance to Apron!

A Seasonal Apron that can be used with all Seasons and Holidays!
Change the kitchen towel to match the season!
This is one of my favorite aprons to make!
It is SIMPLE and made from a WAVERLY WINDOW VALANCE!
Supplies:
One Waverly Valance on clearance $8.99 /reg.$ 39.99 (Tuesday Morning)
Waverly makes excellent window valances, the fabric is great quality and the valance is lined,
which will make a wonderful apron!
The fun part-- change your apron with the seasons!
One Seasonal Halloween Dish Towel

1.  Cut your valance  on both sides to the appropriate size.
This valance has a v-shape, measure accordingly so the "V" is in the middle of your apron.
2.  Unpick the ends of the valance.
3.  Make a 1/4 hem and sew.
4.  Leave a opening for ties to go through the top of the valance where you
would normally put your curtain rod.
5.  Add ribbon or any kind of trim to the top of the apron
by sewing the ribbon on both sides of the apron.
(You are placing your ribbon/trim as a hanger for your kitchen towel.)
6.  Add your seasonal kitchen towel
7.  You will be able to change your kitchen towel throughout the Seasons.
I like this apron because, you can easily throw your kitchen towel in the washer and
use your apron time after time!
8.  Make fabric ties that will feed through the casing of your apron and tie in the back.
You are finished!
ENJOY!
Thank you for visiting!
I will see you all tomorrow!

Celebrate Fall

Welcome Friends
Let's CELEBRATE
The Twelve Days Of Creative Fall

(Banners by:  parents.com    flickr.com)

Today is all about Fun and Festive
 Fall and Halloween Banners!
I love Banners!  How about you?
I made my first REVERSIBLE FABRIC BANNER.

CELEBRATE is on one side-
BOO is on the reverse side!

This was a fun project!
Although, I will do several things differently the next time around.
It's amazing what a FIRST TIME project will teach you.
I have a few tips to share at the end of this post.
My sister made one with me, which brings a lot of laughter and goofy times!

I've used the CELEBRATE side for Back to School and a Special Birthday!
I can't wait to use the BOO side!
Here are a few more Banners from my
BANNERS PINTEREST BOARD

Here's a little Banner INSPIRATION!
I love all of these banners.
I love PINTEREST!

If you plan to make your own Banner from Fabric-
Here are a few tips to save on TIME and MONEY.
We(my sister and I) decided we didn't neccessarily need to use quilting fabrics.
You can save time by using self made binding. (Walmart)
It's not necessary to line your banner with stabilizer lining/interfacing but it does look nice!
Letters take a long time.
Cut your flags out with straight scissors and begin sewing.
We made our banners with a special rotary cutter that gives a scalloped edge.
(It was hard to match up the flags when placing right sides together.)
With all this in mind, I love having a Banner for Family Celebrations.

Feel Free to leave some tips or a link if you've created a Banner!

Thanks for visiting!
More Fall and Halloween Fun is on it's way!
Three more days to go!
I hope you are having fun!

Spookyville Tales

Welcome back to Spookyville.....
The Twelve Days of Creative Fall

Come along and Read some Spookyville Tales!
Today--It's all about a BOO-TI-FUL Halloween!
Make it Fun, Make it SIMPLE!

Halloween Signs can be made with scraps of wood, newsprint,
modge podge, and black vinyl lettering.
You may find similar signs at Tai Pan Trading.
The fun part is coming up with Creative Book Titles.
You can even personalize with Family Names.

All you need is a few supplies:  Black and White Polka Dot Wrapping Paper or paper
of your choice, Wood Scraps, (you can pre-cut at Lowes), jute twine, rick rack,
Halloween Book Titles made from your Computer Printer
More ideas are coming withe these same wood scraps!

I've shown different ways to display your Halloween Books.
You can dress them up with tulle, ribbons and trims!

Next:
Halloween Picture Frames from fabric scraps
 from the Spookyville Fabric Panel
(Spookyville Halloween Bags-previous post)

I added black fabric trim with orange rick rack to the border.

Cover your Picture Frame illustration board with wrapping paper or Fabric.
I purchased a medium size roll of black and white wrapping paper from
The Quilted Bear in Midvale, Utah.
(You may be seeing more ideas with this wrapping paper! :)
It is thick paper and works well!
The fun part is deciding where to display your Halloween Art!
Enjoy!

I found this "B" Glass Frame at Kirkland Home.
I knew it would become useful for SEASONAL DECOR!

I used the same black and white wrapping paper with Moda Polka Dot Fabric Scraps.
The Dotties from Moda--Love the ORANGE color!
You can easily change the the look with Christmas Red and White Polka Dot paper.

Enjoy a Halloween in Polka Dots!

Come back and visit some more Spokyville Tales!
BOO TO YOU!

You can also makeHalloween pillows from the same Spookyville Fabric panel!
I made my pillows reversible, so I can use them for other uses as well.

Sweet Dreams!

My sister, Annette( anniemoorecreations) created and quilted this adorableTable Runner
from the same Spookyville Fabric Panel.
We were talking on the phone about Halloween projects in progress.
We discovered we were both working on the same
Spookyville Fabric!
(We purchased the Spookyville Fabric Panels on a fun shopping trip this past summer).

Thanks for visiting!
There are six more days of
The Twelve Days Of Creative Fall!
Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!
I will see you all tomorrow! :)
