Celebrate Fall

Welcome Friends
Let's CELEBRATE
The Twelve Days Of Creative Fall

(Banners by:  parents.com    flickr.com)

Today is all about Fun and Festive
 Fall and Halloween Banners!
I love Banners!  How about you?
I made my first REVERSIBLE FABRIC BANNER.

CELEBRATE is on one side-
BOO is on the reverse side!

This was a fun project!
Although, I will do several things differently the next time around.
It's amazing what a FIRST TIME project will teach you.
I have a few tips to share at the end of this post.
My sister made one with me, which brings a lot of laughter and goofy times!

I've used the CELEBRATE side for Back to School and a Special Birthday!
I can't wait to use the BOO side!
Here are a few more Banners from my
BANNERS PINTEREST BOARD

Here's a little Banner INSPIRATION!
I love all of these banners.
I love PINTEREST!

If you plan to make your own Banner from Fabric-
Here are a few tips to save on TIME and MONEY.
We(my sister and I) decided we didn't neccessarily need to use quilting fabrics.
You can save time by using self made binding. (Walmart)
It's not necessary to line your banner with stabilizer lining/interfacing but it does look nice!
Letters take a long time.
Cut your flags out with straight scissors and begin sewing.
We made our banners with a special rotary cutter that gives a scalloped edge.
(It was hard to match up the flags when placing right sides together.)
With all this in mind, I love having a Banner for Family Celebrations.

Feel Free to leave some tips or a link if you've created a Banner!

Thanks for visiting!
More Fall and Halloween Fun is on it's way!
Three more days to go!
I hope you are having fun!

Red White and Blue

Welcome Friends!
Create a little Red White and Blue!

Beautiful 4TH of July creations found here:

I saw this beautiful patriotic quilt at my nearby quilt shop. I immediately wanted to make it!
The best part about this quilt, the center flag is a panel measuring 15" X 22".
I love it even more!

Fabrics are by:  Liberty Ridge by Little Quilts/Henry Glass
The panel consists of two medium flags with two small flags!
You can also make place mats and a flag banner!

Kits and bundles of the complete collection of coordinating fabrics are available on their website: http://www.littlequilts.com
You can also order Liberty Ridge Fabrics from Quilting Bee.
 Love it!
Thank you for your feedback on the previous post.
I'm going to combine the Fall Season.
"Twelve Days of Fall"
Fun, Fun, Fun !
Tis The Season!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sweetheart

Welcome Friends!
Add a little "Sweetheart" to your day!
The Valentines Table scape is from the following post.
Wood Letters are from a darling Etsy shop called Well Good
and a crafty blog called Craft Goodies.
You will find wonderful wood kits to embellish and decorate.
Craft Goodies is a new sponsor! We Welcome you!
Adorable Spring Kits are available to order.

I am hosting a Valentines Exchange at Craft Goodies.
Be sure to visit!

I was lucky to receive three sets of wood letters to decorate how I choose.
I still have "FAMILY" and "CELEBRATE" to finish!
My wood letters arrived promptly and packaged nicely and
ready to DECORATE!
I decided to make "sweetheart" for my little daughter's room.

I added fabric flowers, fabric stems along with pink rick rack,
and white bead trim with ribbon.

(You can see more of the true colors in the picture that is taken outdoors).

As I was going through pictures today, I came across this "sweet" picture.
It is one of my favorites. This was a "sweet" day! The weather was
beautiful, two of my children were talking to each other for the longest time,
as they were feeding the ducks.
(Picture taken in Park City, Utah)

We enjoyed watching the Mother duck with her babies.
What A Beautiful World.
Life is Sweet!

Frame A Smile

Welcome back to more ideas to create and share for
A Happy Valentines!
 Frame a Smile!
Especially CUTE for BABY, CHILDREN'S ROOM or NURSERY!
This is where the Frames started
 Frames are simple,
A plain, 2-3 inch flat frame surface works best.
I found my frames at Marshall's, they vary in price from $3.00 to $6.99.
(I still need to finish the large one)
This is what the frames looked BEFORE the DECOR-
Materials used: Mod Podge, Heavy Weight Textured Card Stock, Tulle,
Pearl Beads, straight pins, glue sticks and Ribbon.
You can find directions and endless ideas for adorable flowers HERE .
You can also see a Fabric Flower TUTORIAL UTUBE video HERE.
The Red Frames are great for Valentines!
I added red pins to the center of my handmade fabric flowers.
My Frame is covered with textured glittered red card stock paper.
You can make the Tulle flowers the same way as the fabric flowers, they are especially cute
with frilly pink paper!
I made small green leaves to accent the flowers, I made them on my sewing machine.
Place two green fabrics right sides together, start sewing a leaf pattern, trim and turn.
Pinch the leaf together and glue into place.
Paper from La Creme Stack (Premium Stacks) DCWV
I love the heavy texture of the paper.
I added a small doily with the handmade fabric flowers, along with
a tiny trim of black rick rack and printed ribbon that reads:
Cherish, Love, Joy.

I must say, they are addicting, the possibilities are endless when it comes to
coordinating patterns and colors!

CHERISH the one's you LOVE!
For Cupcake Recipe, see previous posts.
Enjoy!
