A Little Apple Inspiration

Welcome Friends!
A little Apple Inspiration for you!
You're the APPLE of my eye!
(Carmel Apples are from Country Living)

There is something wonderful about apples!
I'm inspired by the color, shape and beauty!
Apples go with everything!
Apples reminde me of Fall.
I miss seeing Johnny Appleseed coming home in my
kids backpacks!

Do you decorate with Green Apples?

I love green Apples with Pumpkins!
It seems, I can't display a pumpkin without a green apple.

Green apples are a easy accessory to decorate with.
The color makes them WONDERFUL!

Yellow Lemmon are great too!
Fall is so exciting!

Do you love Green Apples?
Do  you love the smell of Apple Pie Candles?
I feel new energy!

I have something to share with you next week!

Oh The Places You'll Go

Hello Friends!
More Back To School fun stuff to share!

A favorite Dr. Seuss book, loved by many!
(I Found the idea Here:  Pinterest-I added a few more ideas to it)
Throughout the years of your childs education,
secretly give your child's teacher this book to sign
at the end of each school year.
Present this gift/book to your son/daughter on
Graduation Day(Senior Year) from High School!

I'm going to include
a picture of my child's first day of Kindergarten, along with  pictures of their teachers throughout the years.
If you have missed a few years, it's never to late!
I'm back tracking a few years for my youngest one!

I love this gift idea for the TEACHER on The First Day Of School!

1.  I love the cake.... I found it on pinterest!
Maybe, I will attempt one, wish me luck.
2.  Great picture idea for the first day of school.

I'm still working on Back To School Fairy Surprises.
How about you??
(Scroll down and you will find it.)
Enjoy!

Back To School Fairy

Wow, it doens't seem possible that school is getting ready to start again!
I  have mixed emotions about it all.
I'm happy to get back into a routine again.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to be busy with school activities, homework, sports etc.
I must say, summer went by way too fast!

Here are some FUN ideas for BACK TO SCHOOL!
This year the Back to School Fairy will be visiting!
My kids don't know about a Back To School Fairy.. it will be a surprise!
The door bell will ring very early in the morning on the first day of school.
At the door will be Back to School gifts for a new school year!
Inside you will find:
 A Survival Guide For
A New School Year.
Toothpick: To remind you to pick the good qualities in everyone, including yourself.
Rubber band: To remind you to be flexible.
Things might now always go the way you want, but it can be worked out.
Band-aid: To remind you to heal hurt feelings, either yours or someone else’s.
Eraser: To remind you everyone makes mistakes. That’s okay, we learn by our errors.

My Magnificent and Marvelous Teacher

                       Welcome...More Teacher Appreciation Gifts!
You may remember the M&M Poem from last year.
You can see what we did with the poem last year HERE.
(Thank you to my friend Sandy)
This craft can also be used for Mother's Day

When I came across the clear mini plastic paint cans from Michael's Craft Store.
I couldn't resist using the Teacher M&M poem once again!

We decorated our cans with Teacher Stickers from Stickopotamus Back To Class SPSN03.
(The stickers may no longer be available, they are from several years ago).
One large bag of M&M's 42 Ounce size (Walmart) will fill two cans.

We attached My Magnificent and Marvelous Teacher poem to the cards along with a note.

Green is for the inspiration you give me each day.
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way.
Orange is for your warmth and caring style.
Yellow is for the way you always make me smile.
Red is for my life that you have touched this year.

You place knowledge in my hands,

that melt into my heart and live forever!
You're a "Magnificent" & "Marvelous" Teacher!
Thank you for being my M&M!

(The poem can also be used for Mother's Day)
I would make one change-
Red is for my life that you have touched throughout the years.
Enjoy!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up!
Let's Create!

We love to celebrate Teachers!
As a Mom of Six, I greatly appreciate my kids teachers!
I see the patience and hard work that teachers give their students everyday!
I hear my kids share what they LOVE about their teachers.
Teachers deserve to be appreciated!

This year, we are making Rosette Fabric Necklaces.
(You may remember a fabric rosette necklace for a music teacher)
We decided to make more for all of our teachers!
My kids are helping me pick out fabrics, jewels and how they want their Teacher's necklace to turn out.
The black and white polka dots are a favorite!

The fun part is mixing and matching the fabrics!
We are putting our necklace in a cupcake box with large gift tags!
We found our small cupcake box's at Michaels Craft store.
You can also find adorable cupcake box's on sale at Walmart in the Easter Isle!

I still remember my favorite teacher, she was my First Grade Teacher.
She was always smiling, and very kind!
Celebrate Teachers!
Have a great week!

French Fries Valentines

Welcome!
Today is a beautiful day! The high is expected to be 83 degrees!
The Warm Sunshine does wonders for the soul!
Along with Sunshine, I'm back with creative ideas to share for a Happy Valentines!
I will be sharing more ideas through out the week.
Thanks for visiting the Paper Doll Quilt.

This is one of my favorites and so simple to make.
Pink envelope.....think McDonald's
 French Fries....think pencils!
Teachers love it, kids love it!
Add other items such as:  pixie sticks, chocolate pretzel sticks, heart lollipops,
the list goes on.

I simply made a template of my McDonalds sleeve,
I covered both sides with scrapbook paper, add a styrofoam shape inside your sleeve to secure
the pencils and other treats,  a paper doiley can also be added,
embellish with ribbon, picks etc.

** pencils(Michaels Craft Store),
candy lollipops,  pixie sticks, heart toothpicks and cupcake liners(Dollar Store)
The ideas are endless with how you can embellish and decorate your
McDonald's French Fries Sleeve.

Have a beautiful day!
There is Sunshine In My Soul Today!
