Paul McGillion ... Scott Walker

PLOT:

Carrie Bishop (Booth) lives for her successful career as an event planner in New York City, but her life changes in an instant after a nasty car accident in a snowstorm. Carrie suffers head trauma and regains consciousness in Central Park with an older man, Henry (McGrath). Henry is Carrie’s spirit guide and is there to help her “pass over” to Heaven. But before Carrie can move on, she must fulfill one last task on Earth—a type of Angel Duty. Henry tells Carrie that she must help guide a widowed, young restaurant owner, Scott Walker, (McGillion) who has recently considered suicide because his beloved restaurant/catering business is utterly failing. Carrie befriends Scott and his 8-year-old daughter (Glasco) and immediately displays a knack for promoting the restaurant. But time isn’t on Carrie’s side on this mission. She has until midnight Christmas Eve to turn the eatery around. As friendship grows, romance blooms, and Carrie finds it a struggle to keep business and pleasure separate. Will the heat in Scott’s kitchen be all about the food? Or is one Angel on a meteoric rise to earn her wings?

Martha Evans, an attractive 28 year old shows the wear of years of working double shifts at minimum wage. Martha is close to despair when her ‘never-do-well’ husband abandons her a few days before Christmas, leaving her homeless and destitute.

With her two young daughters and stepson in tow, Martha travels cross-country looking for work, finally landing a job as a late-shift waitress at a small town diner. Still, with her car broken down and the bills piling up as fast as her troubles, it looks like it’s going to be a very bleak Christmas for the Evans family. In a desperate cry for help, Martha reaches to higher power…and her prayer seems to work a small miracle.

Unbeknownst to her, the sympathetic townsfolk and a concerned new admirer have been working behind the scenes to make her season bright. The kindness of strangers ultimately renews Martha’s faith, not only in humanity but also in the God who answered her prayer. The owner of the local diner, an attractive, no-nonsense woman in her mid to late 60s takes pity on Martha and her kids. As their bond builds, the two find unexpected comfort in the values of true friendship. Could blowing the dust off the beloved old recipe for home-made root beer be the answer to their prayers?...

A Bountiful Harvest

Hello Friends!
Sending out a "Happy Monday" to everyone!  Some of you may remember this Fall Centerpiece from a previous post (9/2009). This centerpiece is one of my favorites!

Thank you for your emails regarding the
Fall Centerpiece I created a few weeks ago from
(The Twelve Days of Creative Fall).  This tutorial will give you a little more creative inspiration!

For a stunning multi-level arrangement, combine fresh flowers, seasonal fruits and dried materials. Select autumn's classic forms: field-grown wheat, pumpkins, Indian corn, apples and fall flowers.

Materials:
8 1/2" diameter floral foam ring(must be slightly larger than the top diameter of your larger vase)
8" X 12" clear glass cylinder base
2" X 6" clear glass cylinder vase.
Harvest vegetables, picks, wheat or whatever you choose to use or have on hand!

Directions:
1. Fill a large clear cylindrical vase with produce and top it with a floral foam ring! Soak the floral-foam ring in water for 15 minutes.

2.Center the small cylinder vase inside the larger one. The small vase acts as a spacer. Fill your cylinder with harvest vegetables!

3.Place the Foam ring on top of the large cylinder vase. The ring will be covered with dried and fresh floral materials.

4. Evenly arrange the pieces on the foam ring, inserting picks as you go.

5. Insert the dried grass, wheat or whatever you choose to use through the floral ring and into the small cylinder vase.

So many possibilities with the beauty of nature!
