When a young advertising executive loses her high-powered job right before the holidays, she finds another job with the rival firm's boss, as a Nanny. Chaos ensues as she balances the corporate world with kids, and a love interest who has no idea who she really is!

Ally (Emmanuelle Vaugier) is a smart young career woman who needs a new job. Samantha (Cynthia Gibb) is a busy Beverly Hills advertising executive/mom whose too-well-mannered kids need some fun in their lives. And Danny Donner (Dean Cain) is the tough-guy owner of a chocolate company who wants a major ad campaign immediately. Could it all somehow lead to the Christmas that changes everyone's lives forever? Movie Review:
This movie is family friendly, but I don't think it would entertain most kids under 8.
Dean Cain is pictured on the dvd cover, but he is only in a couple scenes. I thought he would be the father of the children who needed the Nanny, but he was not. The children's father is instead, away on business throughout the Christmas Season and their mother, Samantha Ryland, (Cynthia Gibb) is a busy career woman, thus the need for the Nanny.
Ad Executive, Ally Leeds, interviews for Samantha... and somehow things get mixed up - and she discovers she has been hired as Samantha's childrens Nanny, instead. (Sounds a little like the first Au Pair)
Ally decides to go along with this. While the children visit with their Mother one day at the office, Ally meets Justin Larose, and lies to him about what her work is with Samantha. They eventually begin dating and Ally keeps her Nanny life a secret from him.
The children Ally watches have all kinds of strict rules they must live by - reading Shakespeare, doing Yoga, and eating very healthy. Ally is told to follow the rules, but eventually begins to break them one by one. Of course, the children adore her, but once their mother discovers rules being broken - she does not.
Eventually, she is fired and Justin discovers the truth, too, about her being a Nanny and breaks up with her - even though Ally had helped him on his ad campaign, which saved his job.
It's all a mess... but everything turns around when Samantha realizes how much her children miss Ally - and how much she misses her own children. She decides to loosen up her own rules and throw a Christmas Party. The children invite Ally, who is leaving town, but decides to show up. Everyone is there, including the childrens father, who has brought them home a puppy.
Samantha forgives Ally, and offers her a job as Justin's assistant. By the way, Justin forgives her, too, and the two make up and kiss under the mistletoe!
It's slow moving, at times, but it is family friendly and has a Happy Ending!
