My Twin Brother and Scripture Bags

Did you know I have a twin brother named Brent? He lives in Idaho! We have been separated by miles and living life, but I feel his connection. I'm just thinking about him today! He has been very good to me! I am older by 40 minutes-that is important to know! Don't ever try to take his scriptures, he will chase you down!

New to My Etsy Shop! A great gift for all ages, especially children turning eight! Custom designed to your specifications and size!

Bags can be embellished with polka dot ribbons and trims for younger ages! All bags are lined with 2-4 interior pockets.

Wishing you all a happy and bright sunshine day!

Sew What's New?

New Spring and Summer Bags have arrived to my etsy shop! Welcome bright and vibrant colors with 4-5 coordianting fabrics in every bag! Along with Minnie Mouse and a lot of good cheer and FUN!

Cheers to all of you who visit my shop, send words of encouragement, and own one of my handmade bags! It's the wonderful feedback and smiles that keeps the sewing machine running strong!
I have really enjoyed etsy. It allows me the freedom of creative expression, but most of all I can work around my kids schedules! I do have more time to create now that my last one of six is in school. I have stayed at home with my children and feel blessed that I have been able to do that. It is a new season for me with mixed emotions of missing my little ones under my feet.
It took me a long time to get use to a quiet home for three hours. I didn't know if I would be able to focus, which sounds strange- I know.
I started doing etsy just for fun, mostly to see where it leads. I have loved creating for you and meeting all of you! It has led me to a strong desire to design more creations and pursue other adventures, which I am working on! Thank you! Stay tuned for more creations coming soon!
Have a happy creative day! Make your Monday HERE!

A Quick and Easy Table Runner for all Seasons and Celebrations of life!

A Happy Valentines Table Runner! Cheers to my sister who was visiting from Utah and brought with her a fun project to make in 20 minutes. Actually, I recruited her table runner as I will be teaching a beginnning sewing class for our Legacy Relief Society Celebration in February. If you are local and interested in joining me, you will see details soon! The Table Runners are so easy and fun to make! My favorite is the Snowflakes and Birthdays! We are passing it along to you!

Project Time: 20 minutes

Materials-
1/2 yard fabric for back and borders
1/4 yard fabric for center
matching thread
embellishments: buttons, tassels, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------
If you love seasonal fabrics~ you will enjoy making these!

Step by Step easy to follow directions: (1/4 inch seam allowance)
1. Square up 1/2 yard back and border fabric, cut off selvages.
cut center piece of decorative (1/4 yd) fabric to 9 1/2 inches for center

2. With right sides together pin and sew back and center pieces along long edges to create a long tube.
Turn the tube to right side.

3. Fold tube in half and press about one inch into the edge on both sides.

4. Line up pressed marks and press each side to get a even border on each side.

5. Measure each side to make sure that both sides are the same and press.

6. Fold ends together with fabric backing "right sides together"

7. Sew ends together making sure edges are even on other corner (1/4 inch seam allowance)
make sure corners line up even
8. Trim inside corner to reduce bulk.

9. Press end seams open
turn ends to front and press with seam line lined up in the middle of the triangle.

10. Press, add embellishments as desired!

Your Table Runner is finished! Enjoy!
