What if your deepest secret were suddenly exposed? Nine friends discover just how explosive it can be when their past becomes their present.

Reunited at the funeral of hometown hero Chris Hayden, the friends find tensions escalating rapidly as their darkest secrets are revealed. Jeremy (David A.R. White-"Mercy Streets"), struggling with his calling as a former youth pastor, is caught in an awkward love triangle between his new fiancée and his old flame Sherry (Tracey Melchoir-"Bold and Beautiful"). As the embers of the past relationship reignite, Jeremy’s fiancée Rachel (Stacey Keanan-"Step by Step"), who is determined to solidify their relationship, demands he affirm his commitment to her.

Meanwhile, Gary (John Schneider- "Dukes of Hazzard", "Smallville", "Come Dance at my Wedding") questions everyone’s beliefs as this close-knit group of friends disputes world views, lifestyles, and personal passions. Pastor Wexler (Reginald Vel Johnson-"Family Matters") encourages them not to give up but to follow the truth that Chris Hayden lived.

Hidden Secrets is a story of love, friendship, redemption and ultimately faith. Humorous, touching and always entertaining.

Movie Review:

This Movie has a Strong Christian Message that deals with many Questions of Faith and areas of Sin. Hidden Secrets is Interesting and Intriging, and often reminds me of a Hallmark Channel Movie, however... I would not recommend this for family viewing. Why? The movie opens dark and mysteriously, with a man writing a letter. Quickly we learn that this is to be a suicide note, and we see a man put a gun to his head- he does not go through with it due to a phone call just then by a friend... letting him know another dear friend, Chris, has just passed away. From then on, Old Friends gather together to say goodbye to Chris, and deal with their past sins, friendships, and relationships. Questions arise continuously about Faith and Forgiveness.

There are deep questions and confrontations about Faith, Sin, Abortion, Homosexuality, etc... however, there are great lighthearted moments, too. There is an old love story between a couple of the friends who parted years ago, yet it is obvious to see, in spite of him bringing his girlfriend of two years to the funeral, that there are still strong and unresolved feelings between the two.

The men in the group of friends think they can roof the house and one man ends up falling off the house and fortunately, into some bushes. He is sore, but only has some bad scratches.

Another fun moment... they go to a Thrift Store to buy Retro-Style clothes and that night, they go dancing at a restaurant/bar that has a Retro Dance Night. 3 of the guys even end up on stage singing! Unfortunately, the handsome John Schneider wasn't one of them - I know he has a beautiful voice! He was a great member of this cast and made all the characters feel real and lively! It's a Terrific Thought - Provoking Christian film for Mature Teens and Adults.
