CAST:
Sean Astin
JoBeth Williams

PLOT:
from Hallmark:
"While still mourning the loss of her husband and daughter, recently widowed Ellie King (Hall) visits her brother Aaron Davis, (Vaughan) a sheriff in the small town of Haddonton, and his two children during the Christmas holiday. Ellie does her best to enjoy the holidays, even making new friends with Beatrice (Williams), a local shop keeper and Deputy Strode (Bruce). Settling in nicely with her brother's family, Ellie agrees to watch her niece and nephew when Aaron travels out of town to purchase adjacent land for farming. But when a corrupt attorney in town leaves a young man to blame for Mayor Wayne's (Astin) barn catching fire and burning, Ellie ignores distrusting townspeople and steps in to help to prove his innocence. To her dismay, the season's festivities are threatened when Aaron goes missing. When all seems lost, Ellie not only gets the perfect holiday miracle-her brother delivered home safely on Christmas morning-but also the chance at a new life when she finds herself falling in love again."

Prayers for those in the Path of Hurricane Irene
As I flip my TV - back and forth from the Weather Channel & Fox News today... I've been watching where the storm is heading and how bad it is for those who have homes or businesses on the east coast.
Please be careful, if you are in the path of Hurricane Irene. My Prayers go out to all of you who have left your homes and especially for those who chose to stay behind. If your area was evacuated, I hope and pray many heeded that warning.
Buildings can be replaced - people cannot. Please be safe, everyone!
God bless you all.

As we remember the terror of this horrible event in our American History, let us take heart in these words from our former President:
I know I will watch some of these shows, but I must admit, not all. It is difficult to re-live the memories of this tragic day, yet it is important for us all to remember it. I cannot imagine what those who were there on that day are going through... especially, after the earthquake on Tuesday, (August 23, 2011) which forced people to evacuate their work places after the buildings shook - reminding them eerily of 9/11 all over again.
I pray for all the families who endured loss on that day of September 11, 2001 and for those who have lost loved ones - soldiers, fighting for our freedom ever since.
God Bless America ~ Land that I love!

As we remember the terror of this horrible event in our American History, let us take heart in these words from our former President:
"Tonight, I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a Power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23:
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for you are with me.
This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time. None of us will ever forget this day, yet we go forward to defend freedom and all that is good and just in our world.
Thank you. Good night. And God bless America."
Thank you. Good night. And God bless America."

Fun Friday!
Hello everyone!
It's Fun Friday!
I'm sharing more Pinterest Favorites!
This one comes from:
When I saw the red and white polka dot wrapping paper along
with adorable baby feet, I knew this was something great!
(I'm posting this Christmas idea early, so TIME is on your side).
The idea is to wrap 24 favorite Christmas Books and let your
kids pick a book each night or each day to read through out the month of December.
I know this tradition may not be new for you, but the idea of
wrapping your books in Christmas paper, preferably polka dot wrapping paper,
and numbering your Christmas Books is adorable!
I'm a big fan of Christmas Books, especially
Children's Christmas books!
With six children, I have a pretty good Christmas collection gong on!
I started many years ago purchasing one Christmas book each year for my kids.
I think it's a wonderful gift on Christmas Eve with a new pair of Christmas PJ's.
(great encouragement for bed time on Christmas Eve!)
There are many cute Advent Calendars that can be used with this idea.
One reminder, I wish I would have written the year inside our Christmas books.
I will be reviewing a NEW Christmas Book Titled
The Santa Club by Kelly Moss
coming my way in the next few days.
I will keep you posted.
Enjoy!

Dieter F. Uchtdorf
