Every Friday from here until I run out, I will feature an ad from my collection.
I invite you to add a fun comment, witticism, clever remark, or observation in the comments section provided. Any comments deemed worthy of repeating will be included into this entry where all the world will see it.
When I posted the last edition of this feature two weeks ago, we were in the midst of searching for a new car. I'm happy to report we got an excellent deal on a 2008 Chrysler Sebring (demonstrator model with all the bells & whistles) to replace our dear departed 1997 Saturn.
Since then, we've had a few more days of bad weather, several school closings, Boy Scout meetings and a pinewood derby (Alex placed 6th!), basketball games, cheerleading, practices to shuttle the kids to, several school functions to attend, and dealing with the insurance company to determine what our course of action would be with the Saturn - all with only one workable car to our name for a great deal of the time!
As the ink was drying on our purchase of the Sebring, we got word from the insurance company - despite being 12 years old, all the miles on the odometer, and the blue book value ($800 if we're lucky), the Saturn was deemed repairable! We now own three vehicles - arghhh!
All these car troubles have kept my mind in a car ad type of mood. Which is why I chose this classic Christmas ad:

Thank goodness for the red interior - otherwise Santa would have had trouble spotting the white Corvette in the middle of the snow-drifted road.
What do you think?
Ernie says: How come I never get one of those when I rent a car? I always wind up with some crummy Chrysler four-door with the B pillar in the wrong place and I bump into it everytime I get in the car.
Thanatos says: How much for the Saturn?
Any other opinions?
